What is the booking process?

We’ll discuss all the details of your event over email, including song choices, length, and any special requests. We ask for a 20% non-refundable deposit to be paid upfront to reserve the date and time requested. In case of rescheduling, the deposit will be transferred to the new date. The balance must be paid with one week of the event.

What experience do your musicians have?

Our musicians are some of the best string instrument players in Montreal. They have graduated from schools like McGill University, University of Toronto, Juilliard, the Glenn Gould School, and Yale, perform alongside some of the greatest ensembles in Canada, such as Orchestre Symphonique de Montreal, Orchestre Metropolitain, I Musici, Toronto Symphony Orchestra, and the National Arts Centre Orchestra. We have played hundreds of classical concerts, pop concerts, weddings, and everything in between. Our corporate clients include BMW, HSBC, Royal Dutch Shell, BNP Paribas, Visa, and Accor.

What exactly does hiring a wedding quartet include?

Our base wedding package includes about 2 hours of music. Typically a Prelude (30 mins) as guests arrive and find their seats, music for the Ceremony (30 mins) which includes bridal party entrance music, bride entrance music, document signing music, and a post-kiss recessional. 3-4 song choices for the Ceremony is standard, but of course every wedding is different. After the Ceremony, we offer music for the Reception/Cocktail, typically about 1 hour, as a transition between string quartet and the arrival of the DJ or band. This is a popular choice for all of your favourite Bridgerton-style Pop song covers.

What are some venues in Montreal where your musicians have played wedding ceremonies?

We have played hundreds of weddings at venues all across the city! Some of our favourites include the Windsor Ballrooms, the Ritz-Carlton, the Saint-Sulpice Hotel, the Four Seasons Hotel, the St. James Theatre, Chateau Ramezay, the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth, Maison Principale, L’Ambroise, Salon 1861, Hotel Bonaventure, Hotel William Gray, Hotel Place d’Armes, Hotel Nelligan, Hotel10, the Sofitel Montreal, Hotel Omni, and the Mount Stephen Hotel.

What is the policy regarding outdoor ceremonies?

We can play outdoor events with a few caveats: our wooden instruments are very sensitive to cold temperatures, so we can’t play outside if it’s under 60 degrees. In the event of rain (even the slightest drizzle), we need to be sheltered. Also for summer weddings we need to be in the shade, either natural shade under a tree, an umbrella, or a tent. If you have an event or ceremony outdoors, we encourage you to make backup plans in the event of inclement weather. Large umbrellas or tents can shield musicians and their instruments from light rain, wind, and harsh direct sunlight, but if there’s a possibility of really bad conditions, we always recommend having an indoor plan-B (for our instruments and for your guests!)

Will you be amplified?

We don’t use any amplification, as we play acoustic instruments that were designed to project sound before microphones and speakers were invented! It’s never been a problem for us to be heard, whether we’re performing in a ballroom, church, conference room, or outdoors.

Will you take last minute song requests at the event?

We will always do our best to accommodate special requests, even if it's last minute! We have an extensive library of music, so if someone from your wedding party or reception has something specific in mind, just let us know and we’ll see what we can do.
